COP pilot cities: Waste collection data
This data sheet summarises the collection data from the three COP pilot cities, Aarhus (Denmmark), Rostock (Germany) and Gdansk (Poland).
- Aarhus: Collection via SeaProtectorOne in Aarhus river. Full year data from two periods: 2024-2025 and 2021-2022. Data from 2021-2022 was collected by AllInOnGreen, and was allowed to be used in the COP project.
- Rostock: Collection via PortBin in Warnow River conducted by the COP project over two periods: March-October 2024 and March-October 2025.
- Gdansk: Different collection methods were tested. Main collection source was EcoKayak actions carried out by the COP project in 2024 and 2025. A total of 73 trips were made with a total of 378 participants. Additionally, both Portbins, Seabins and professional divers were tested to clean Motlawa river.
Disclaimer: The pilots used different collection methods and monitoring approaches; figures should therefore not be read as direct performance comparisons.
